Events and Operations Manager

Ballarat Agricultural and Pastoral Society Incorporated (the Society) has promoted agricultural endeavours in to the communities and districts of Ballarat for 150 years. The Society promotes the development of the agricultural, pastoral, horticultural, viticultural, stock raising and industrial resources of the district through the running of various public events and activities throughout the year. The Society also hires its grounds and infrastructure to outside vendors who wish to run events or short-term commercial activities.
The Events and Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation and review of the Society’s annual activities as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the Society, ensuring that all financial, administrative and compliance requirements are met. The position is required to actively promote the Society and its activities and interests to the community as well as local and state government. The position is also required to provide secretariat support to the Executive Committee of the Society and works closely with the Society’s various sub-committees.
The position will initially be offered for a 12 month term and will require after hours and some weekend work. Travel throughout Victoria is also a requirement.
